PROJECT VISION

Gift of Sight

Launched in 2019, Project Vision is a comprehensive eye project by Drishti Foundation in association with Drishti Netaralaya to provide completely free tertiary level eye treatment in remotest areas of the Northeast.

This project is spearheaded by our COO, Mr. Uday Agarwalla who utilizes data analytics to effectively manage community services.

We are mainly targeting  Dibrugarh, Sibsagar, Tinsukia, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur in Assam and parts of Arunachal Pradesh with a mission to make vision care reach areas lacking vision care professionals and facilities.

Our fully trained teams conduct free camps on a daily basis  and screen patients for Refractive Errors, Cataract, Cornea, Oculoplastic, Diabetic Retinopathy.

VISION ON WHEELS

Welcome to our Mobile Eye Clinic, generously donated by Sewa USA and Saksham Foundation.

This initiative is revolutionizing eye care by reaching even the remotest locations. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, our clinic brings essential eye care services directly to communities that often lack access to such vital healthcare resources. Our dedicated paramedic staff conducts thorough initial screenings, ensuring that every patient receives the attention they deserve. Leveraging the power of tele-ophthalmology, we connect our paramedics with skilled ophthalmologists who remotely review patient reports. This seamless integration of technology enables swift diagnosis and immediate treatment recommendations, eliminating the need for patients to endure long and arduous journeys to urban centers.

By bridging the gap between remote communities and specialized eye care services, we strive to improve the lives of individuals and families. Through the support of Sewa USA and Saksham Foundation, we continue to expand our reach, making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Join us in our mission to bring clarity and vision to every corner of our communities. Together, we can make a brighter future for all.

VISION PARTNERS

The fight against blindness is not one fought alone but with unity, persistence, and a collective dedication to ensuring that sight, one of the most precious gifts, is accessible to all. It relies on the collective support and collaboration of a wide range of stakeholders, including non-governmental organizations (NGOs), government agencies, and various local partners and individuals.

We are fortunate and grateful to have received support and collaboration from our partners who have been instrumental in preventing blindness, providing essential care, and ensuring a brighter future for individuals and communities affected by vision impairment. With continued dedication and cooperation, we can aspire to a world where blindness becomes a preventable and treatable condition, offering hope and sight to those in need.

Together, we have and will continue making strides towards reducing the prevalence of blindness, expanding access to quality eye care, and ultimately improving the lives of individuals and communities affected by visual impairment. This collaborative spirit and shared commitment are what fuel the movement to eradicate blindness.

Project Vision

This vision crisis does not require the invention of new drugs or solving complex issues like distributing

refrigerated vaccines

CHALLENGES

  • Lack of adequate vision care facilities in about 80% of North-East

  • Inaccessible terrain

  • Financial stress

This prevents several from achieving their potential and is a major barrier to economic and human progress.
